Welcome to our favorite day of the week! Woman Crush Wednesday where we use our marketing superpowers for good and share the stories of women and business in our community! Todays #WCW is Irene Garcia. Irene is a massage therapist and the founder of Joint Bodywork. Her work is healing, and she wants every person whom she comes into contact with through her work to understand that massage therapy is an essential part of one’s self-love and self-care regiment. “Massage therapy isn’t simply an emergency response treatment or a luxury. It boosts the immune system, it helps us to naturally move and detoxify the body, its excellent for pain management and of course it’s a great way to unwind -alone or during a get together with the girls!
As a woman, mother and professional in the workforce Irene shares that we often put ourselves last to family and work. “Massage therapy is an excellent way for us to begin balancing out a healthy self-love regiment.” We need something invigorating to the soul, we need a reset and it’s important that we don’t pack on the guilt when we do the necessary work to keep ourselves balanced. Sometimes Massage therapy is a part of the necessary work. My hope is that if even for but an hour you take the time to yourselves and schedule a session with me that my services serve as a safe retreat to heal the body and mind.
When asked her advice to aspiring entrepreneurs Irene states: “Both men and women fear taking the leap into entrepreneurship. As an educator in my field I offer a stepping stone of support to entrepreneurs interested in becoming massage therapists. I want to support my fellow therapists and share what I know. I understand that a shared learning experience is a shared growth experience. Lastly, my advice for women who may be afraid to take the leap into entrepreneurship: Jump Baby! You got this! We don’t grow until we step outside of our comfort zone!”
Irene is the Cofounder of Hermosa Salon and Spa. You can book your next massage therapy appointment at their location. 928-919-7009. Please support this great establishment and amazing woman owned business!
